About the Role

We have an opportunity for a Hygiene Nights Supervisor to join our Hygiene team at our Leyland production site, working Tuesday to Saturday.

This is a key leadership role within our night hygiene operation, responsible for leading, supporting, and developing our Hygiene team to consistently deliver the high standards required across our manufacturing environment. You will create a positive, accountable, and safety-focused culture where people understand the importance of their role and are supported to perform at their best.

Working closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other site functions, you will ensure our factory is cleaned and released to the required food safety and hygiene standards, whilst continually looking for opportunities to develop our people, strengthen our processes, and improve the effectiveness of our hygiene operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the night Hygiene team, setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and creating a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. Take responsibility for team performance, capability, training, and development, ensuring individuals have the skills and support required to succeed.
  • Deliver consistently high hygiene and food safety standards across the site, ensuring cleaning schedules, procedures, and verification activities are completed effectively. Use your understanding of microbiological risks and hygiene principles to identify trends, investigate failures, and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of cleaning chemicals and hygiene equipment, maintaining compliance with COSHH, chemical handling requirements, Health & Safety standards, and site procedures. Challenge unsafe or ineffective practices and ensure the team understands not just what is required but why it is important.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the Hygiene function by reviewing performance, challenging existing practices, and working collaboratively with Production, Quality, and Engineering. Lead investigations and root cause analysis where standards are not achieved and support the site in maintaining audit readiness and delivering against internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
