Job Opportunity: Hygiene Operatives
We are currently recruiting for Hygiene Operatives at our new chilled potato product packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire.
Shift & Hours of Work
- 4 days on, 4 days off - rolling shift, working 06:00hrs to 18:00hrs
Rate of Pay
- £13.02
Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning of production lines, equipment and factory areas in accordance with the hygiene schedule and company procedures.
- Clean surrounding production line equipment including rollers, chutes, frameworks, platforms and other line components to maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment where required to allow effective deep cleaning and ensure machinery is left in a safe condition ready for production.
- Ensure machinery and conveyor belts are safely isolated and secured during cleaning activities, including the use of lock-off procedure on control panels where required.
- Ensure appropriate warning signs are used, and areas are made safe when cleaning activities are in progress.
- Ensure correct use of PPE and follow all hygiene and safety procedures while carrying out cleaning duties.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH procedures where required.
- Maintain the cleanliness of staff welfare areas such as canteens, toilets, corridors, locker rooms, as well as other working areas outside of the main factory such as offices.
- Complete hygiene schedules, cleaning records and documentation accurately and on time.

- COSHH/ Food Safety level 2 or above.
- Previous experience in a hygiene role within a food production environment.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive and proactive attitude to tasks.
