About The Role
Hygiene Operative
Spotless standards don’t happen by accident.
At Whitworths, quality starts long before our products reach the shelves. We’re looking for a reliable, energetic Hygiene Operative to help keep our Irthlingborough site clean, safe and ready to deliver—every day.
This is a hands-on role where attention to detail matters. From our factories and warehouses to offices, facilities and outdoor areas, you’ll play an essential part in maintaining the high standards our people, customers and auditors expect.
What you’ll be doing
- Completing scheduled daily, weekly and periodic cleaning across the site
- Supporting with reactive cleaning when extra help is needed
- Collecting, segregating site waste
- Managing daily laundry requirements and litter-picking duties
- Completing hygiene records accurately and on time
- Following all food safety, personal hygiene and health and safety procedures
- Supporting customer visits and external audits
- Working closely with colleagues across Hygiene, Operations and Supply Chain to keep things running smoothly

Experience in food manufacturing and a Food Safety Level 2 qualification would be an advantage, but they are not essential.
