Summary
Great opportunity to join the Hygiene team on site.
The Role
Work within a collaborative team structure, working closely with the Production, Technical, and Engineering departments to ensure the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety are consistently maintained.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Have a full understanding of the chemicals in use within the hygiene department and recognise their scope of use
- Have a full understanding of the COSHH requirements and ensure compliance with the relevant assessments throughout the departments
- Have a full understanding of the cleaning systems, schedules and procedures throughout the factory, combined with a full understanding of the equipment, to ensure high standards are maintained
- Be fully familiar with the documentation needs of the department
- Be fully familiar with the appropriate health and safety procedures
- Have a basic understanding of food microbiology
- Have a good working relationship within the department and between departments to create a team attitude
- Ensure all equipment returned is food and safety compliant
- Ensure CAYGO is fully maintained in all areas at all times
- Ensure that the High Risk, Low Risk and Outside areas are maintained to a high degree of cleanliness
- Refill all chemical and consumable dispensers to appropriate levels
- Carry out scheduled hygiene work under supervision by the Hygiene Team Leader and complete the relevant documentation

The Ideal Candidate
- At least 1 years’ experience in a similar role and environment
- Knowledge of Hygiene standards
- Basic understanding of food microbiology
- Can do attitude and team work orientated
- Effective organisational skills
- Quality driven
- Excellent attention to detail
