Overview

Hygiene Operative - Nights - MULTIPLE ROLES AVAILABLE

Kinnerton Confectionery, Fakenham NR21 8AF

Position type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 40.25

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, Monday - Sunday, 18:00 - 06:00

Pay range: £14.70/hour

Breaks: 30 minutes paid, 30 minutes unpaid

We are looking for a dedicated person to maintain high standards of cleaning, housekeeping and adhere to all relevant site & job cleaning schedules and work instructions including flexibility on performing different task across different department within the hygiene team including Mould wash and Nut try wash.

Closing date: Friday 25th September 2026

Responsibilities

  • Clean the factory production lines and machinery.
  • Follow all hygiene, Health & Safety, and chemical handling procedures.
  • Keep cleaning records up to date and report issues or incidents.
  • Ensure effective segregation and correct disposal of out of spec product, waste, recyclable materials.
  • Identify and communicate any food safety, pests or environmental issues.

Desirable

  • Experience in hygiene/cleaning within food manufacturing or similar
  • Food Hygiene, HACCP, or COSHH certification
  • Experience working within a hygiene team

Our Fakenham site operates across three key production areas - Novelty, Nut, and Moulding, each led by a Plant Manager and supported by dedicated Shift Managers working on a 4 on 4 off pattern across days and nights. The site is a 11,000m² facility producing over 8,500 tonnes of confectionery annually, including NOMO – the UK’s #1 free-from chocolate brand. With advanced technology and a nut-safe promise, we supply major retailers and co-manufacture for some of the world’s biggest confectionery brands. Every year, we produce over 5 million advent calendars and 30 million Easter eggs – making this a fast-paced, innovative environment where no two days are the same.
