Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division. Supporting some of our well-known brands such as Kingsmill, Pataks, Blue Dragon, Jordans, Ryvita and Silver Spoon, amongst others. We deliver Shared Service activities across a wide range of disciplines including Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR and IS.

Overview Of Role
Our Hygiene Team is Growing — Come Join Us!
We’re excited to be recruiting for a Hygiene Operative position with full-time hours.
Available Roles
- 6 month fixed term contract: full-time (42 hours a week)
- Location: Liverpool Hotplate
- Salary: £33,146.09
As a Hygiene Operative, you’ll play a key part in keeping our facilities, equipment and site infrastructure spotless, safe and running smoothly. Your work helps maintain the high standards our team is proud of.
Key Accountabilities
- To ensure that daily schedules are adhered to and the assigned areas meet the required standards.
- To contribute as part of a team and assist in meeting the departments Key Performance Indicators.
- Identify areas that have a potential associated risk to food safety and raise and action accordingly.
- Reporting of defects or potential hazards to the Hygiene Controller / Coordinator.
- Issue and manage deliveries of workwear from the Laundry.
- Assisting manufacturing in reduction of waste and the removal of bakery and returns waste.
- Cleaning and litter picking of the site perimeter.
- Replenishment and cleaning of facilities.
- Cleaning the canteen and surrounding area.

The Right Person
- Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Awareness of COSHH regulations and the safe use of chemicals.
- Experience with Hazards/Near Miss reporting.
- Demonstrate pride and passion, great working environment producing quality site standards.
- Able to provide a high standard of work, assisting departments cross functionally.
- Experience in a cleaning role, preferably industrial, with high standards, good attention to detail and a willingness to work to rigorous procedures.
