About The Role

Recruit4Talent seeks four Hygiene Operatives for a permanent, full-time post at a privately owned food production site in Bilston. This £multimillion-turnover facility supplies retail, wholesale, catering, and foodservice markets across the UK and abroad. The working pattern is Tuesday to Friday, 2.00pm to 10.30pm, plus Saturdays from 9.00am to 5.30pm. Duties involve keeping designated production zones clean, safe, and audit-ready, upholding food safety and health regulations, spotting hygiene concerns, and resolving them promptly. Candidates must remain physically active throughout shifts and maintain consistent factory standards. Pay ranges from £12.83 to £14.89, with Saturday rates, overtime, and benefits. Prior experience is advantageous, though full training may be provided for the right applicants.

PM Shift

  • 2.00pm -10.30pm Tuesday to Friday
  • 9am – 5.30pm Saturday

Your Duties As Hygiene Operatives

  • Working proactively to ensure production areas remain clean, safe, compliant and audit-ready
  • Ensuring that food safety and health & safety standards are adhered to
  • Working on designated production areas
  • Identifying cleanliness issues
  • Taking immediate action to resolve these issues
  • Maintaining factory standards are met consistently

This is a highly active role that requires candidates to be on their feet throughout the shift.

Your Skills & Experience As Hygiene Operatives

  • Previous experience as a Hygiene Operative, Cleaning Operative or Cleaner within food manufacturing, food production or industrial environments.
  • Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and health & safety requirements and their importance.
  • Proactive, with a strong work ethic and the ability to identify issues before they become significant.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling, lifting and carrying cleaning equipment and waste materials.
  • Good English language skills, both verbal and written, to understand training, instructions, procedures and safety requirements.
  • Reliable, dependable and takes ownership of their designated areas.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Understands that cleanliness, food safety and health & safety are critical to the success of the operation.
  • Can follow procedures, complete training and consistently adhere to company standards.

Pay & Benefits

  • £12.83 per hour, increase in rate after 6pm, further increase for Saturdays
  • £13.58 per hour evening rate (6pm onwards)
  • £14.89 per hour Saturday rate
  • £16.04 per hour overtime rate
  • 39.5 hours per week
  • PM Shift is 2.00pm-10.30pm Tuesday – Friday & then Saturday: 9am-5.30pm
