Job Description
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager within our Food Technical team, you will guide and support the site Hygiene Team to maintain exceptional food safety and hygiene standards. In this key position, you will bridge communication between hygiene, operations, and technical teams to ensure audit readiness and drive continuous improvement every day.
You will play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and site-ready environment. From coordinating daily cleaning schedules and pest control trackers to carrying out root cause analysis and leading audit responses, your work directly supports our operational success and high quality standards.

Core Responsibilities
- Guiding and coordinating the Hygiene team to complete scheduled and ad hoc cleaning tasks efficiently
- Establishing risk-assessed hygiene systems and cleaning instruction cards across all areas and equipment
- Delivering and coordinating hygiene and safety training for team members
- Planning and managing hygiene schedules to maintain high standards across site facilities
- Supporting the engineering team during planned preventative maintenance schedules
- Leading internal and external hygiene audits and closing out corrective action summaries
- Managing chemical stock levels, cleaning equipment, and raising purchase orders
- Ensuring all hygiene activities adhere strictly to Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines
- Overseeing pest control management, debriefs, and maintaining the action tracker
- Acting as the primary contact for third-party cleaning service providers to ensure alignment with site standards
Who You Are
- Experience supervising, guiding, or leading teams within a workplace environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey clear instructions and share updates across departments
- Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and cleaning standards within a food production or manufacturing environment
- Practical approach to problem-solving with the ability to manage priorities effectively
- Familiarity with document control, schedules, and maintaining safety records
- Practical experience with cleaning chemicals, equipment safety, and Health & Safety procedures
- Proficient IT skills, including experience using Google Workspace applications such as Google Docs and Google Sheets
- Familiarity with generating or maintaining risk assessments
