Job Purpose

As Hygiene Team Leader, you'll take ownership of hygiene standards across the site, leading a team that keeps our production environment safe, compliant, and running at its best. You'll manage the day-to-day delivery of hygiene services, ensure cleaning regimes are properly documented and consistently followed, and act as a key link between hygiene and the wider business. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in high standards, thrives on keeping things organised, and wants to make a visible, daily impact on how the site operates.

About the Job

  • To work as part of a team to ensure that the highest standards of visual and microbiological hygiene are always maintained across all areas of the site.
  • To ensure the Hygiene team members are always wearing the correct PPE.
  • To identify difficulties as and when they arise and communicate these to the Hygiene Manager.
  • To follow all hygiene, food safety, quality, health & safety procedures, and the company terms.
  • Report any Food Safety/Health & Safety concerns and ensure PARs are filled out appropriately.
  • To achieve a “right first time” clean, following set work instructions and safety protocols.
  • Carry out daily/weekly/monthly/ad hoc cleaning tasks.
  • Take part in daily GMP audits.
  • To attend work on the scheduled shift days, in a timely manner, so you can be on the shop floor at the start of your shift.
  • To manage breaktimes to ensure the Hygiene team members are on the shop floor on time.
  • Timely and accurate completion of related documents and records.
  • To ensure hygiene operatives cleaning machines are cleaning as per instruction cards.
  • To assist with managing and developing hygiene team members on shift to ensure they are being proactive and carrying out their job roles in a safe and effective manner.
  • Carry out startup/inspection checks of cleaning equipment and report any damages.
  • Carry out chemical titration checks.
  • Deputise for the Hygiene Manager as and when required.
  • To organise and control stock issues and generate stock replenishment orders in the absence of Hygiene Manager.
  • To carry out any other tasks in connection with the department to support the business needs.
  • Assist with finding solutions, continuous improvement and problem solving.
  • Any other reasonable duties, responsibilities and requests that may be issued by management from time to time.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
