We are currently recruiting for Hygiene Team Leader at our new chilled potato product packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire.

Shift & Hours of Work: Monday to Friday - Fixed Shift, working 08:00hrs to 16:30hrs

Rate of Pay: Depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the hygiene team including training, performance, shift coordination, delegating tasks and monitoring the execution of cleaning schedules
  • Conduct thorough inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with hygiene standards and identify areas for improvement
  • Achieve hygiene related KPI's including standards, micro performance, people quality and cost
  • Coordinate with management to arrange cleaning schedules that align with production needs
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, audits, and compliance to provide thorough reports to management
  • Ensure stock levels of cleaning supplies are managed effectively, reordering as necessary to maintain operations, looking after stocks.
  • Foster a culture of hygiene awareness and safety within the team
  • Participate in meetings focused on continuous improvement initiatives concerning hygiene practices
  • Liaise with production and other functions to support delivery on manufacturing targets
  • Support investigations into hygiene or microbiological issues and help implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct Hygiene audits and swabs and control the audit swab results log
  • Maintain a clean and tidy production area, adhering to health and safety guidelines. This will include removing items and equipment that need to be cleaned or stored in designated areas

  • COSHH/ Food Safety level 2 or above
  • Proven experience in a hygiene or cleaning leadership role within a food production environment, ideally within both High Risk and Low Risk.
  • In-depth knowledge of hygiene standards and health and safety regulations
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Strong communication skills for effective interactions with staff at various levels
  • Knowledge of chemicals
  • Keen attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving attitude
