Hygiene Team Member
Salary - £31,734.14 (Inclusive of 20% shift allowance)
Shifts – Rotating
- Week 1: Monday – Thursday 06:00 – 14:00 & Friday 06:00 – 13:00
- Week 2: Monday – Thursday 13:55 – 22:00 & Friday 12:55 – 19:35
Mizkan Euro produces high quality food products such as Sarson’s Vinegar, Japanese seasonings & Branston Pickle.
We are looking for a Hygiene Team Member to join our Hygiene team at our manufacturing site in Middleton, to help maintain the highest hygiene, food safety and quality standards across the site.
The successful candidate must embrace the two Mizkan principles, which are to offer only the finest products and continually challenge the status quo.
This is a hands-on role supporting cleanliness across offices, canteen, corridors, toilets and production areas, as well as managing on-site laundry processes to ensure food-grade clothing meets required standards. You’ll play a vital part in keeping our site safe, compliant and operating smoothly.

- Carry out hygiene and cleaning activities across site areas, including production environments
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment in line with COSHH guidance and training
- Operate commercial washers and dryers and manage internal laundry processes
- Complete hygiene and food safety documentation accurately
- Follow site Health, Safety & Environmental standards and report hazards or near misses
- Always support food safety and quality compliance
- Work collaboratively with teammates and communicate effectively during handovers
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and challenge unsafe or non-compliant behaviours
What we’re looking for
Essential:
- Trained or willing to be trained as a multi-skilled operator
- Good communication and numeracy skills
- Knowledge of basic food safety and Health & Safety requirements
- Understanding of chemical safety and manual handling
- A positive, reliable and proactive approach to work
