Hygiene Team Member

Location: Bellshill, Glasgow
Shifts: Rotating Days and Nights
Pay: £651.44 per week

Are you a Hygiene Team member passionate about maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout your working environment?

As part of our manufacturing team, you’ll form an integral part of our family, contributing to providing the best quality service for our customers through commitment, teamwork and involvement in the daily hygiene maintenance throughout the bakery.

Essential Ingredients

  • HSE / Food Safety systems and legislation knowledge, i.e. Foundation in Food Hygiene & COSHH.
  • Ability to work in a safe manner and consider the safety of others
  • Willing to work a shift pattern of days and nights 0700-1900 and 1900-0700
  • Have a positive outlook and enjoy working as part of a team

The Recipe

Here at Bellshill we are dedicated to ensuring our products are baked in a healthy, safe and clean environment. As a Hygiene Team Member you’ll adhere to health & safety legislation, policy and standards identifying any required actions. Compliance with quality legislation, food safety policies and procedures is a critical part of your role.

Working closely with your colleagues in all areas of the bakery you’ll maintain the company and statutory hygiene standards promoting the principles of basic food hygiene and good housekeeping.

Key Accountabilities and Measures

Bellshill bakery is located between Glasgow and Edinburgh, and proudly supports Scotland as our Scottish Manufacturing site with nearly 300 colleagues working a variety of shift patterns. With two bread plants, we produce a variety of products and are the sole producer of Milk Roll for the UK in total we produce just under a million units weekly.

Our distribution teams deliver 1 million products per week to over 1,000 customers daily, covering 35,000 km per week and in 2022 we celebrated our 25th anniversary.
