Join our team as a Hygiene Technical Operative
About The Role
To supervise the hygiene team on the respective shift ensuring they are suitably trained to complete required hygiene tasks to meet business demands, attaining and maintaining highest standards of hygiene. To actively promote a team working environment within the hygiene department. Undertake hygiene duties where required during the shift. Completion of post cleaning audits and daily swabbing regime.
- Carry out the cleaning of the production equipment & hygiene equipment as required on a nightly basis according to the hygiene cleaning schedule.
- Ensure all standards set by cleaning instruction cards are trained out and maintained.
- Responsible for the application of all company procedures and policies within the hygiene department.
- Responsible for reviewing swab results and investigating repeat fails, ensuring that corrective actions are put in place and completed.
- Liaise with the engineering department when reporting breakdowns/issues.
- Responsible for the correct chemical application and quantities being used including chemical titration checks.
- Responsible for availability of hygiene equipment to meet the business demands and completion of cleaning schedules.
- Undertaking of high level cleaning duties using a cherry picker.
- Completion of weekly hygiene stock takes.
- Holiday / absence cover for the Hygiene Process Leader.
- Responsible for overseeing Hygiene audits and feeding back on improvements and corrective actions are put in place and completed.

Working Hours
4 on 4 off night shift 18:30-06:00
Benefits
- £14.25 per hour (paid weekly)
- Shift allowance of £2.00 (for hours worked between 18:00 and 06:00)

What do I need to be successful?
Essential
- Experienced Hygiene Operative.
- Experience of working within a FMCG environment.
- Supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation.
- MEWP (mobile elevated work platform)
- Knowledge of BRCGS
Desirable
- General understanding of basic food microbiology.
- Experience of poultry processing industry
- Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
- Knowledge of COSHH.
