What are we looking for?

As a Hygiene Team Leader, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our site clean, safe, and audit-ready at all times.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure Health and Safety standards are consistently met and your team always works safely
  • Managing and leading a team of Hygiene Operatives to delivery high standards
  • End to end line management including absence and performance management and training and development of your team
  • Following the site Hygiene Plan carefully and consistently
  • Carrying out High Risk and Low Risk cleaning tasks, including:
    • Cleaning equipment, walls, floors, overheads, and conveyor belts
    • Using scrubbing and sweeping equipment
    • Stripping down and cleaning factory machinery
    • Using cleaning chemicals at the correct concentrations, following Cleaning Instruction Cards (CICs)
    • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
    • Safely handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
    • Completing all hygiene and safety paperwork accurately and on time
    • Reading, understanding, and following all guidelines relating to chemicals, equipment, and HACCP procedures

Experience in managing and leading a team

  • The ability to work autonomously and make decisions

  • Ability to follow procedures and work independently

Previous hygiene or food manufacturing experience is essential and full training will be provided
