Role Description

This is a freelance, case-by-case role for an IAA Level 3–accredited Immigration Adviser. You will be instructed on individual matters and engaged specifically to handle asylum and human rights appeals at the First-tier Tribunal.

Duties will include

  • Handling asylum and human rights appeals to the First-tier Tribunal
  • Preparing grounds of appeal
  • Drafting appeal skeleton arguments
  • Compiling appellants’ bundles
  • Providing advocacy at tribunal hearings

Work will be assigned per case, with flexibility on location. Representation at hearings will be required where instructed.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • IAA Level 3 accreditation in Asylum and Immigration (Essential)
  • Proven experience in asylum and human rights appeals
  • Experience with First-tier Tribunal advocacy
  • Strong drafting and advocacy skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Immigration Issues, including asylum law and refugee protection
  • Understanding of Immigration Policy
