IAM Consultant / Developer – Microsoft Entra ID
📍 Remote - UK
⏳ 6-month contract | Potential extension
📅 Start: Mid-September 2026
💷 £400 - £520 per day Outside IR35
We’re looking for an experienced IAM Consultant / Developer to join a major Microsoft Entra ID migration and implementation programme.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can combine IAM architecture and design with practical delivery. You’ll work across the full migration lifecycle, from discovery and target-state design through to cutover, security, application integration and handover.
This is not a BAU IAM administration role. We’re specifically looking for someone who has previously delivered complex identity migrations into Microsoft Entra ID.

What you'll be doing
- Assess the existing identity estate across Active Directory and/or third-party IdPs
- Design the target-state Microsoft Entra ID architecture
- Plan and execute phased migrations and cutovers
- Configure Entra Connect / Entra Cloud Sync for hybrid identity
- Implement Conditional Access, MFA and passwordless authentication
- Migrate and configure application SSO
- Work with SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0 and OIDC
- Implement PIM, Entitlement Management and Access Reviews
- Troubleshoot authentication and migration issues
- Produce documentation and support the operational handover
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Proven Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD migration experience
- Experience migrating from on-prem Active Directory and/or Okta, Ping, ForgeRock or similar
- Strong Conditional Access and Zero Trust knowledge
- Strong understanding of SAML, OAuth and OIDC
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills
- Ideally experience with the Microsoft Graph PowerShell SDK
- Comfortable working independently in a client-facing environment

- Microsoft Sentinel / Azure Monitor and KQL
- Entra ID B2B/B2C
- SC-300, SC-100, SC-500 or CISSP certification
