IAM Engineer
Contract Opportunity | Tier 1 Bank | Day Rate Inside IR35
Remote (must be UK based with RTW)
A major global financial services organisation is undertaking a 5+ year transformation of its Identity & Access Management (IAM) capability, introducing modern technology and engineering practices across authentication, authorisation and human and non-human identity.
We’re looking for an experienced IAM Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team responsible for building and supporting modern, cloud-native identity services at significant enterprise scale.

Key objectives:
- Design, develop, test and support enterprise IAM services and platform capabilities
- Build APIs, microservices and event-driven integrations
- Implement authentication, authorisation and identity federation capabilities
- Develop secure integrations with identity platforms and third-party services
- Support Human, Agent and Workload Identity solutions
- Contribute to CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation and DevSecOps
- Troubleshoot production issues and support the continuous improvement of the platform
Key skills:
- Strong Software Engineering background with hands-on development experience
- IAM / Identity Engineering experience
- API & REST API development
- Microservices & cloud-native development
- Kubernetes
- Git & CI/CD
- Infrastructure as Code
- DevSecOps and secure coding
- OAuth2, OIDC, SAML and/or SCIM
- Automated testing and integration experience

Additional Information:
📍 Largely remote | Some travel to the North of England
📅 Long-term contract | Inside IR35
