Role Overview

You will be joining a very well-established and prestigious London Insurance Broker as their IBA Accounts Executive on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with insurance accounting experience to work across broker, client, and underwriter accounts within a fast-paced and collaborative environment. You will be responsible for the administration and servicing of client and underwriter accounts, ensuring accurate processing, reconciliation, and settlement of balances. The role also includes exposure to proportional treaty business and working closely with internal teams to resolve accounting and cash allocation queries. This role will be based in the London office 3 days a week, with the opportunity to work from home for the remaining 2 days.

  • Managing client, insurer, and third-party account settlements
  • Performing bureau matching and investigating outstanding discrepancies
  • Preparing and issuing account statements within agreed timelines
  • Reconciling cash receipts, ledger transactions, and account balances
  • Monitoring proportional treaty account movements
  • Investigating and resolving accounting and allocation queries
  • Supporting debt collection activities and aged debt reviews
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and audit trails

Role Requirements

  • Previous experience within an IBA, insurance accounting, or broker accounting environment
  • Knowledge of Lloyd's and bureau accounting processes
  • Experience handling proportional treaty business would be beneficial
  • Strong reconciliation and cash allocation skills
  • Good understanding of client money regulations and insurance accounting principles
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders
