About The Role

This full time position as an IBM Cloud Migration Consultant, based in Roxwell, suits an experienced IBM i specialist. The successful candidate will assess the existing iSeries or AS400 estate, then help shape strategy, architecture and approach for shifting workloads into IBM Cloud. Duties include evaluating applications, dependencies, databases, interfaces and integrations, plus identifying risks and challenges. Close collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders is essential to plan each phase. A competitive salary is offered. Applicants should demonstrate hands-on migration experience, strong knowledge of the IBM i platform, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly.

IBM i to IBM Cloud Migration Specialist

We’re looking for an experienced IBM i / iSeries specialist who has been involved in migrating IBM i workloads into IBM Cloud.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who understands the IBM i environment and can help us assess the current estate, shape the migration approach and support the move into IBM Cloud.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The key thing

We’re not looking for someone who has simply worked with IBM i or IBM Cloud separately.

We need someone who has genuinely been involved in moving IBM i/iSeries workloads into IBM Cloud and understands the practical challenges involved.

If you’ve done this before and can help us work out the best approach, we’d be very interested in speaking with you.
