IC Layout Engineer - Durham
Have you worked within a commercial environment and are ready to turn complex designs into precision-ready layouts?
Support internal and external customers from first IC concept through mask release.
You’ll create IC layouts and reticle sets, prepare design and mask-release documentation, coordinate with customers, engineers, Program Managers, and mask manufacturers, and keep design records accurate and up to date.

You’ll bring:
- At least 2 years’ electronic or electrical engineering experience, with CAD
- Familiarity with KLayout, L-Edit, Nazca Design, or similar layout software
- Programming knowledge (ideally Python is similar but any experience will be helpful.)
- Strong maths, attention to detail, and confident Microsoft Office skills
- Clear communication and a logical approach to solving spatial design challenges
- Qualified in a science or engineering discipline

Must be British due to working within a sensitive environment.
