Our client is seeking an experienced I&C System Engineer (Nuclear) to support the design, implementation, and verification of Instrumentation & Control systems for nuclear projects in Grenoble, France.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and validate I&C systems in accordance with project specifications and nuclear safety regulations.
  • Conduct system architecture analysis, hardware/software interface definition, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure integration of I&C systems into broader plant systems.
  • Lead or support Functional Analysis, FMEA, and Hazard & Operability Studies (HAZOP).
  • Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and safety case development.
  • Provide technical support during testing, commissioning, and operational phases.
  • Ensure strict adherence to applicable French and international nuclear standards (e.g., RCC-E, IEC 61513).

Required Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree in Electrical, Control Systems, Automation, or Nuclear Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in I&C systems engineering, preferably within the nuclear sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of nuclear I&C regulations and standards (e.g., RCC-E, IEC standards).
  • Experience with safety-critical systems, control logic development, and validation processes.
  • Proficient in using engineering tools for control system design and simulation (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PLC software, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in French (Mandatory – both written and spoken, for project documentation and client interaction).
  • English Proficiency is desirable.
