Terms
Full-time role with international travel to key pilot plant locations, factories, and equipment suppliers
The Role
The Magnum Ice Cream Company is a global category leader with the highest innovation rates within Consumer Goods. This requires leading-edge capabilities in the design of manufacturing processes and novel solutions for product assembly as well as freezing technologies. Core mission of this role is to shape new technology roadmaps, partnerships with the world’s best equipment suppliers, and management of pilot plant operations across the world. All of this should be enabled by data and AI as we move into the new era of digital experimentation.

What you'll be responsible for
- Create long-term process technology and product-pack assembly roadmaps to enable 3-year innovation growth ambition of 1 billion Euro
- Deliver manufacturing processes to all innovation and value creation projects within the company
- Collaborate with Supply Chain engineering team to develop and implement manufacturing strategic plan and manufacturing excellence objectives, which includes reduction of waste and energy consumption
- Develop and effectively manage the network of pilot plant operations connected to the advanced manufacturing centre at Colworth
- Lead capability and talent within the broad area of process and product assembly as well as freezing technologies
- Shape and manage the external ecosystem of technology and science partners instrumental to drive our sector leadership
- Shape and effectively manage IP strategy within his/her area of expertise
- Champion digital transformation and automation/robotics application with the area of process and pilot manufacturing.
We're looking for someone who
SKILLS, EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:
- A degree in process engineering or a similar discipline coupled with 15+ years of diverse experiences within the manufacturing or engineering sector
- Good understanding of Food Processing and Manufacturing standards
- A track record of designing and commercializing new processing technologies and related IP
- Experience in management of Pilot Plant or Manufacturing Operations
- Exposure to different technologies, product categories, and markets
- LEADERSHIP: Strong team leadership and talent development competencies
- Curiosity and passion for innovation and discovery including application of robotics and digital technologies
- Rigour in diligence as well as continuous improvement mindset
- Strong collaboration across functions as well as external partners
- Thinks end-to-end and takes ownership for results
- Is comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving organisation
- Values collaboration, clarity, and low-ego ways of working
