Ice Rink Hosts Wanted

We are looking for Ice Rink Hosts to join the team, who can support the running of this year’s very special Christmas centrepiece at Beaverbrook!

Who you are:

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about giving every customer an amazing experience, a confident communicator, and have excellent attention to detail.

The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a team to ensure safety, welfare, and enjoyment of all skaters and users of the Ice Rink during public sessions.

First Aid and ice skating experience is preferred but not essential to this position.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting our guests in purchasing their tickets for the Rink, serving hot and cold food and beverages where required.
  • Maintaining the ice rink by clearing any snow and resurfacing it with water.
  • Ensuring that the Point of Sale (POS) system and PDQ is prepared and ready prior to service.
  • Prepare and restock all food and beverage items, including garnishes and mulled wine, ensuring all areas of the Ice rink are set up for service.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing all food & beverage preparation surfaces, equipment, and utensils. Ensuring all areas of the ice rink are well maintained.
  • Allocating boots and ensuring they are the accurate sizes, keeping all skates organised, in good condition, and clean.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
