About the Opportunity
The ICP Administrator is a key appointment within our Engineering team, responsible for coordinating and managing the administrative and technical processes that support the successful delivery of ICP projects.
What You'll Do
You will be the central point of contact for Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs), customers, landowners, and internal stakeholders, ensuring that Point of Connection (POC) applications, wayleaves, quotations, project information, and engineering processes are efficiently managed throughout the project lifecycle.
Please note: This is a fully remote / work from home opportunity and we welcome UK wide applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and track DNO/IDNO Point of Connection (POC) applications from submission through to offer acceptance and delivery.
- Act as the primary liaison with DNOs and IDNOs to obtain network information, quotations, technical approvals, and project updates.
- Coordinate responses to customer and stakeholder enquiries relating to network connections and project progress.
- Engage with customers, landowners, and other stakeholders to support the progression of applications and projects.
- Coordinate the wayleave and easement process, including stakeholder engagement, document management, and progress tracking.
- Assist engineering and delivery teams with technical and administrative submissions required for contestable work.
- Provide estimation support by gathering network information, obtaining budget estimates, and preparing submission packs.
- Ensure compliance with DNO, IDNO, G81, and company procedures where applicable.
- Support project coordination activities, including programme updates, action tracking, documentation control, and stakeholder communications.
- Maintain accurate project records, databases, and reporting information.
- Monitor application milestones and proactively identify delays, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Produce management reports and KPI information relating to applications, quotations, wayleaves, and project performance.
- Support the development, implementation, and continual improvement of engineering and operational processes.

About You
We are looking for someone that has 2-5 years' experience within an ICP, DNO, IDNO, or related utility connections environment. You will have a good understanding of the Point of Connection application process and associated customer connection activities combined with experience coordinating multiple projects, applications, or workstreams simultaneously. We believe the following skills and attributes will set you up for success in this role:
Essential Skills And Experience
- Strong organisational and administration skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience liaising with external stakeholders, including DNOs, IDNOs, customers, and landowners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to interpret technical information and engineering documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to workload management.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of G81 standards and contestable connections processes.
- Experience supporting NERS-accredited ICP operations.
- Experience using project management, CRM, or utility industry systems.
- Understanding of wayleave, easement, and land rights processes.

Education & Qualifications
- GCSEs, or equivalent, in Maths and English
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Business Administration is a big plus!

- Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
