Role Overview
Produce accurate estimates for ICP works, including HV/LV connections, diversions, new networks, and point of connection applications
- Analyse client specifications, DNO/IDNO technical requirements, and drawings to build complete pricing models
- Maintain a keen focus on current G81 & NERS requirements
- Undertake site visits and scoping surveys as necessary to inform pricing strategy
- Work closely with civils contractors to develop, cost & plan cable routes & substation construction
- Manage and complete tender submissions, PQQs, and quotations in line with commercial governance processes
- Liaise with DNOs, IDNOs, and utility stakeholders to validate technical assumptions and obtain pricing or scope confirmations
- Coordinate with Procurement, Delivery, and Engineering teams to ensure accurate build-ups of labour, plant, and material costs
- Apply company-approved pricing schedules, labour rates, and markups to ensure consistent margin performance
- Support business development efforts by providing pre-sales technical insight and pricing input for strategic bids
- Maintain an organised and up-to-date pricing log and support pipeline forecasting with commercial insight
- Continuously review and refine pricing templates, benchmarks, and quotation formats
- Assist in the handover process to project delivery teams to ensure smooth mobilisation
- Any other duties reasonably required to support RJ Power Connections’ operational and commercial functions

Experience Required
- Previous experience in estimating for ICP or utility infrastructure projects
- Experience working with DNOs, IDNOs, and ICP frameworks
- Familiarity with UK G81 DNO specifications, Point of Connection and ENA documentation
- Strong commercial understanding of cost build-up and risk management
- Working knowledge of CDM and H&S regulations
- Full UK driving licence
- Competent in Excel, Word, Outlook, and estimation software
- Can manage multiple tenders at once under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work within a team but can also take responsibility for own actions
- Can work under pressure, be flexible and adaptable
- Takes a pro-active approach and a willingness to contribute new ideas
- Able to adhere to policy and processes
