Job Description:
Our Basingstoke based client, a leading technical and support company with a core focus across the legal sector, is looking for their next ICT apprentice. Having a history of successfully developing apprentices, this opportunity presents a true and vibrant career pathway into the technology sector.

This is an office-based role in Basingstoke, Monday to Friday.
Occasional travel to customer sites, including locations in London, will be required.
All approved business travel and reasonable expenses will be paid in accordance with company policy.
The apprentice must be comfortable working directly with customers and representing Workplace Connect professionally.

- Assist colleagues with customer projects, installations and on-site support when required.
- Maintain accurate client and technical documentation.
- Identify potential issues and opportunities to improve the client experience or internal processes.
- Complete apprenticeship training, coursework, reviews and assessments within the required timescales.
- Undertake other reasonable duties appropriate to the role and level of development.

- A proactive attitude, with the initiative to look for answers, improvements and next steps.
- A logical and methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Good listening skills and the ability to ask clear, relevant questions.
- Ownership and accountability, including following tasks through to completion.
- Good organisation, attention to detail and willingness to follow established processes.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and ask for support when needed.
- Genuine enthusiasm for technology, learning and continuous development.
- Comfortable travelling to customer sites, including London, when required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
