ICT Design Consultant – Data Centres

United Kingdom (Hybrid / Remote with occasional office access) Full-time, Permanent

Data Centres, Mission Critical Infrastructure, Telecoms Engineering

About the Company

We are partnering with a premier global data centre design and engineering consultancy specialising in high-availability, mission-critical infrastructure. Delivering complex technical solutions for premier Hyperscale and Co-location clients across the EMEA region, they offer a collaborative, learning-focused environment where innovation, technical excellence, and continuous professional development are actively supported.

Role Overview

As an ICT Design Consultant, you will play a central role in delivering end-to-end ICT and Telecoms designs within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary engineering team. You will be responsible for shaping cutting-edge technology solutions, managing technical deliverables from initial scope to execution, and coordinating closely with CAD and Revit specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Design Delivery: Lead the production, review, and approval of high-quality Telecoms designs, including schematics, containment design, rack elevations, specifications, and project-specific bill of materials.
  • Full Lifecycle Management: Manage all ICT documentation across RIBA Stages 2–4, site surveys, scope development, cost estimates, detailed design, tender packages, RFP development, and bid analysis.
  • Technical Coordination: Collaborate directly with BIM/Revit and CAD technicians, using tools like Bluebeam to mark up drawings and communicate design intent effectively.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key technical interface, clearly articulating design intent in client-facing environments and ensuring alignment with client-specific organizational standards.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all technical processes and procedures are strictly adhered to for high-accuracy discipline outputs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
