ICT Manager

Working hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week
Monday - Friday 9AM - 5PM
Salary: £39,627 per annum
Location: Sale Rd, Norwich NR7 9TP

Due to the nature of the role, a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are essential. Business insurance is also required. Mileage is reimbursed at 55p per mile for cars, after deducting the mileage between your home and work base.

Norfolk and Waveney Mind is seeking an ICT Manager to lead and develop our technology services, ensuring our staff, volunteers, and service users have reliable, secure, and innovative digital solutions that support our mission to improve mental health and wellbeing across our communities.

About The Role

As the ICT Manager, you will be the organisation's lead specialist for ICT services, working closely with the Head of Digital to ensure our systems, infrastructure, and technology services are secure, resilient, and fit for the future.

You will manage and support the ICT team, oversee the delivery of high-quality technical support, and work collaboratively with external suppliers and partner organisations. You will play a key role in driving digital innovation, maintaining cyber security, supporting information governance requirements, and ensuring technology enables the delivery of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of Norfolk and Waveney Mind's ICT infrastructure, systems, and services.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the ICT Service Team, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
  • Ensure organisational ICT systems remain secure, compliant, and resilient, including backups, password management, and cyber security.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with external ICT suppliers, contractors, and partner organisations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organisational efficiency through technology and digital solutions.
  • Oversee the procurement, maintenance, and lifecycle management of ICT hardware and software.
  • Maintain accurate ICT asset registers, inventories, and associated records.
  • Support staff, volunteers, and service users in the effective and safe use of ICT systems.
  • Assist with GDPR compliance, Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), and wider information governance requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the organisation's IT and Information Management Strategy.
  • Manage designated ICT budgets and ensure value for money across technology services.
  • Support the management of building-based ICT infrastructure and services across multiple locations.

About You

We are looking for an experienced ICT professional who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent leadership and communications skills.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who Have The Following

  • Experience managing ICT infrastructure, networks, hardware, and software within a multi-site environment.
  • Experience leading and developing an ICT support or service team.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, cloud technologies, networking, cyber security, and information governance.
  • Experience of supporting Data Protection Officer (DPO) responsibilities.
  • Experience of using Microsoft 365 Purview.
  • Understanding of GDPR and information management principles.
  • Experience managing relationships with external suppliers and service providers.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • The ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical colleagues.
  • A proactive approach to service improvement and digital innovation.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
