The Role:

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is looking for an enthusiastic ICT Support Analyst to join our busy and supportive ICT Service Desk team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering fast, friendly, and effective support to users across the organisation, helping to resolve issues quickly and keep our critical systems running smoothly.

We’re looking for someone with strong communication and customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to keeping records and systems accurate and up to date.

You’ll be a positive and willing team player who enjoys contributing to shared goals across the team, department, and wider service. You’ll also be confident working on your own initiative, triaging issues effectively, solving problems, delivering excellent customer service, and prioritising incidents and requests in a busy service desk environment.

In this varied and rewarding role, you'll:

  • Provide responsive support for ICT hardware, software, and systems, using first-line fixes to resolve issues quickly and escalating where needed
  • Log, update, and actively monitor incidents and requests, keeping progress visible and helping ensure service levels are met
  • Keep digital records accurate and reliable, including asset management data, user accounts, permissions, and access rights
  • Carry out routine checks on software, systems, applications, and equipment, using structured testing and triage to diagnose issues and suggest improvements
  • Support the security and integrity of ICT systems by applying good practice, maintaining confidentiality, and helping the organisation meet data protection requirements
  • Build and maintain knowledge of corporate and bespoke systems, taking ownership of your learning and identifying opportunities to develop your skills

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
