An Exciting Opportunity with Our ICT Team
An exciting opportunity to join a forward-looking ICT Team and help shape the systems that support a modern Blue Light Service.
About the Role
Working alongside our experienced System Management Team you will help ensure that Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) have the right systems in place to deliver quality services that enable our Service to deliver for our communities.
You will take ownership of a portfolio of related ICT Systems, helping to ensure they remain secure, effective and aligned to organisational and user requirements. You will be responsible for making sure our systems are correctly procured, and Supplier Contracts are well managed. Working with our users and suppliers you will ensure they are resilient, meet our required Service Levels and delivery value for money.
As part of the wider ICT team, you will be working with Service Colleagues to resolve issues and deliver change. You will ensure user guides and procedures are correct and up to date, and that staff are suitably trained in the operation of our Systems. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to key System delivery projects within the Service.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure ICT Systems are secure, effective, and aligned to organisational and user requirements
- Manage procurement and supplier contracts for ICT systems
- Work with users and suppliers to ensure system resilience and meet service levels
- Resolve issues and deliver change in collaboration with service colleagues
- Maintain and update user guides and procedures
- Train staff on the operation of ICT systems
- Contribute to key system delivery projects

We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate strong transferable skills, a willingness to learn and the ability to develop into the role. Experience supporting, administering, developing or managing ICT systems and services would be beneficial, as would exposure to areas such as system administration, procurement and contract management, user training, change management, system configuration, incident management and problem management.
