We are looking for talented and motivated Technical Analysts to help design, build, manage and support the critical infrastructure and software systems that enable our organisation to operate effectively and deliver essential services to the public.

THE ROLE
As a Technical Analyst, you will play a key role in the delivery and support of infrastructure hardware, software applications and digital services. You will work across a broad technology landscape, helping to ensure systems remain secure, resilient, scalable and aligned to organisational needs.
Depending on your level, responsibilities may include supporting, building, configuring, administering, designing and implementing infrastructure technologies and services, including:
- Computing and server technologies
- Storage solutions
- Network infrastructure
- Physical infrastructure environments
- Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications
- Open-source technologies
- Cloud-based platforms and services
- Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
- Platform as a Service (PaaS)
- Software as a Service (SaaS)
You will contribute to the full lifecycle of service delivery, from design and development through to deployment, operation, maintenance and continual improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement, administer and support infrastructure technologies, systems and services.
- Maintain and support software applications that provide services to internal users and the public.
- Monitor system performance, identify issues and proactively troubleshoot technical problems.
- Take ownership of incidents and technical issues, ensuring effective resolution and service restoration.
- Implement and maintain information security controls to protect systems and data.
- Investigate system, process and service problems, recommending and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Support the delivery of high-quality digital services through a modern standards-based approach.
- Contribute to system design activities and infrastructure architecture.
- Build, test and support integrations between systems and applications.
- Plan, execute and report on testing activities, ensuring solutions meet operational and business requirements.
- Work collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Assist with prototype development and collaborate with developers to ensure secure, accessible and maintainable production solutions.
- Support continual service improvement and technology innovation across the organisation.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking individuals who are passionate about technology, committed to excellent service delivery, and capable of working effectively within a team environment.
You should be able to demonstrate experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- Infrastructure support and administration
- Cloud technologies and services
- System integration and testing
- Networking and server technologies
- Information security principles and controls
- Systems design and technical documentation
- Technical troubleshooting and problem management
- Modern IT standards, practices and methodologies
- Service management and continuous improvement
Successful candidates will possess strong analytical skills, a methodical approach to problem solving and the ability to communicate technical information effectively to a range of stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
ASSOCIATE TECHNICAL ANALYST
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Computer Science or a closely related discipline (Level 4 or 5), and/or relevant equivalent experience.
- Awareness of infrastructure technologies, software systems and cloud services.
- Understanding of testing, troubleshooting and system integration principles.
TECHNICAL ANALYST
- HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science or a closely related discipline (Level 5 or 6), and/or relevant equivalent experience.
- Experience building, configuring, administering and supporting infrastructure technologies and services.
- Ability to investigate and resolve technical issues, contribute to system design and support integration activities.
SENIOR TECHNICAL ANALYST
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science or a closely related discipline (Level 6), and/or significant equivalent experience.
- Advanced training and demonstrable expertise in relevant infrastructure and software technologies.
- Experience designing and implementing complex solutions, leading technical activities and guiding others.
- Ability to review system designs, influence technical direction and deliver services with medium levels of business and technical complexity.
