Legal & General is recruiting for the role of Identity & Access Management Team Lead. The role leads Identity & Access Management and Access Control, combining practical IAM knowledge with people leadership. It shapes identity services, improves access governance and works across security, technology, risk and the wider business.

Role details

What you’ll do

  • Lead, coach and develop colleagues across the IAM and Access Control teams.
  • Set priorities and help shape the strategic direction of identity services.
  • Oversee access governance across JML, RBAC, PAM, recertification and service accounts.
  • Coordinate IAM controls, attestations, audit evidence and remediation activity.
  • Improve policies, standards, processes and service performance.
  • Partner with business leaders, application owners, technology teams and service providers.
  • Analyse identity and access data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Support new technology, integrations, automation and identity-related business change.

What they’re looking for

  • Have practical experience in Identity & Access Management or information security.
  • Have experience leading, coaching and building capability within a technical or service team.
  • Understand identity across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Know Active Directory, Entra ID, SSO, MFA, RBAC, PAM and identity lifecycle management.
  • Have experience managing controls, audit activity, evidence and remediation.
  • Work confidently with senior stakeholders and challenge access requirements constructively.
  • Take an analytical approach and turn complex issues into practical priorities.
  • Show curiosity, learning agility and an interest in improving services rather than maintaining the status quo.
