Identity & Access Management Engineer
Location: Hybrid (Coventry or London)
Salary: £60,000 + Benefits

An Identity & Access Management Engineer is required to join a growing technology business, supporting the delivery and improvement of IAM and identity governance solutions across a modern technology environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work across Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, cloud identity and emerging AI technologies, helping to deliver secure and scalable identity services.
Key Responsibilities & Skills
- Support the design, implementation, and improvement of IAM solutions across authentication, authorisation, access control, and identity lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, including users and groups, role assignments, application registrations, Conditional Access, MFA, SSPR, passwordless authentication, and identity governance.
- Strong Active Directory experience covering users, groups, OU structures, GPOs, and hybrid identity, with an understanding of LDAP, AD tiering, and disaster recovery.
- Experience with Identity Governance platforms such as Saviynt, SailPoint, or similar.
- Analyse identity and access data, including audit and sign-in logs, to support investigations, identify trends, and improve security.
- Support AI and data-led IAM initiatives, including identity analytics, access risk reduction, anomaly detection, and intelligent access reviews.
- Work closely with Engineering, Product, Security, and wider stakeholders to deliver technical tasks and milestones in line with IAM roadmaps.
- Contribute to secure engineering practices, technical standards, and continuous improvement while protecting colleague and customer data.

Additional Experience & Attributes:
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application to identity and security data.
- Familiarity with Microsoft security and analytics tools such as Entra ID logs, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel.
- Exposure to Privileged Access Management (PAM) and role-based privileged access.
- Understanding of data governance, responsible AI, and information security principles.
- Awareness of Zero Trust and the wider identity threat landscape.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant Microsoft Identity/Security, AI/Data Analytics, CISSP, or CISM certifications would be advantageous.
