Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Identity Delivery Manager to lead and coordinate the delivery of enterprise-scale identity and access management initiatives within the Authentication and Directory Services Engineering function. This role focuses on managing the end-to-end delivery of identity solutions spanning Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), and related authentication platforms. The successful candidate will bridge technical engineering teams with business stakeholders, ensuring successful project delivery while maintaining operational excellence and security standards.
Role / Principal Accountabilities
- Manage delivery of Authentication / Directory Services / MFA infrastructure projects from inception to completion
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to design and implement global identity solutions for hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud)
- Manage project timelines, dependencies, risks, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Facilitate communication between technical engineering teams and senior management stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to established change control procedures, governance frameworks, and operational discipline
- Drive continuous improvement of identity and access management delivery practices and methodologies
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party integrations related to identity solutions
- Champion adoption of Zero Trust security principles across identity projects

Skills & Experience Required
- Demonstrate an ability to lead and coordinate global teams across multiple time zones and work independently when required
- Strong oral and written communication skills with proven ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Enthusiastic, eager, and personable with strong leadership presence
- Ability to cope well under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively
- Proven track record of successful project delivery in complex enterprise environments
Essential Skills
Delivery & Project Management Expertise:
- Proven experience managing enterprise-scale identity and access management projects
- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid approaches)
- Experience managing timelines, and resource allocation for technical projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage risks, issues, and dependencies across complex programmes
- Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget in regulated environments
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders including engineering teams, security, compliance, and business units
Professional Skills:
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a global team
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with confidence presenting to C-level executives
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities
- Self-motivated with a collaborative team-player approach
- Enthusiastic, personable, and professional demeanour
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong adherence to change control procedures and operational discipline
- Experience translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Desirables
- Formal project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum certifications)
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms for change and incident management
- Knowledge of Windows Server technologies and enterprise infrastructure
- Experience with Ping AM / Ping DS Identity product set or similar IAM platforms
- Understanding of regulatory requirements (PRA, FCA) relating to operational resilience
- Experience managing identity projects in financial services or highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service management best practices
- Experience with identity governance and administration (IGA) platforms
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and their identity services

Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and related cloud identity services
- Understanding of Active Directory technologies and hybrid identity architectures
- Familiarity with enterprise Microsoft Authenticator deployments and MFA platform migrations
- Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles and identity-based security frameworks
- Understanding of Tiered Administration Models and privileged access management
- Awareness of identity governance, lifecycle management, and access certification processes
