Identity & Infrastructure Engineer – Microsoft Entra ID

📍 London | Hybrid
💰 Competitive Salary + Benefits
🏢 Permanent

Are you an experienced Microsoft Identity or Infrastructure Engineer looking to play a key role in a major cloud transformation?

I’m working with a well-known UK organisation that is modernising its Microsoft environment and moving towards a cloud-native, Entra ID and Intune-led identity model. They’re looking for an experienced Identity & Infrastructure Engineer who can take ownership of their identity environment, support the existing hybrid estate and help drive the transition away from traditional on-premise Active Directory.

The Role

This is a hands-on engineering and transformation position where you’ll work across Identity, Infrastructure and Security. You’ll help shape and deliver the organisation’s journey from traditional Active Directory, domain-joined devices and Group Policy towards a modern environment built around Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Autopilot and Zero Trust principles.

You’ll be responsible for:

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Ideally, you'll have previously been involved in an AD-to-Entra / hybrid-to-cloud transformation, particularly around device migration, modern endpoint management or reducing reliance on traditional Active Directory.

Experience with Autopilot, PIM, SAML/OIDC/OAuth, Microsoft Graph, Defender, Sentinel, Purview or Zero Trust would also be highly beneficial.

Why This Role?

This isn't simply a BAU identity administration position. You'll be joining at an important point in the organisation's technology journey, with the opportunity to help shape and deliver how identity and access will operate going forward. It's a great opportunity for someone who understands traditional Microsoft infrastructure but has moved into modern cloud identity, Entra ID and security, and wants to take real ownership of a transformation.
