Role Purpose
At IDP, we connect people to global education opportunities. As the IELTS Business Assurance Manager based in London, UK, you will have a critical role in ensuring the integrity of one of the world’s most trusted English language tests (IELTS).
You will lead audit, investigation, and security initiatives across the IELTS network, with a focus on UK/Europe/CIS region. Your responsibilities include ensuring compliance with global standards and protecting test fairness. Reporting into a global team of 20 across four countries, this critical role involves:

- Ensuring consistency in the audit, investigation, and incident management processes.
- Managing real-time security incidents, analysing risks, and escalating as necessary.
- Conducting malpractice investigations and recommending outcomes.
- Analysing audit and investigation data to enhance compliance measures.
- Supporting new test centres through risk assessments.
- Partnering with Product, Technology, and Operations on security controls.
- Ensuring alignment and governance standards with global partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead test security, audits, and investigations for the IELTS network.
- Manage real-time incidents and escalations across UK/Europe/CIS.
- Conduct investigations into suspected malpractices and propose outcomes.
- Analyse data to drive compliance improvements.
- Support audit-based onboarding of new test centres, including risk evaluations.
- Collaborate with global teams to design and enforce secure practices.
- Partner with Product, Technology, and Operations to strength internal controls.

About You
You should hold a strong background in governance, risk, and compliance, ideally demonstrating the 3 Lines Model framework. We are looking for a highly experienced professional with:
- At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in:
- Conducting audits, including customer-focused quality.
- Handling malpractice investigations; including evidence evaluation.
- Expert analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Firm ability to lead meaningful improvement paths post-audit.
- Self-driving capability in a fast-evolving remote setting.
- At sharp attention to detail, especially in complex communications.
- Strong report-writing skills, clear, concise, with persuasive messaging.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to the UK/Europe/CIS when required.
