Job Description: IFA Administrator in Blackpool

My client is currently looking for an experienced IFA Administrator to join their team in Blackpool. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to Financial Planners to help to deliver good client outcomes, and be the first point of contact with the financial planning team and product providers to deliver a first-class service to clients.

The Role

  • Process new business for clients in a timely manner, ensuring all information provided is accurately reflected in the application paperwork and any other associated systems are updated.
  • Be a first contact point for clients to handle general queries, escalating complex queries to the Planner, adapting your approach for clients in vulnerable circumstances.
  • Arrange client meetings, valuations, meeting packs and manage the Financial Planners diaries.
  • Prepare client application forms in line with suitability report recommendations.
  • Prepare letters of authority for signing.
  • Complete any required post meeting actions and minutes.
  • Provide additional support to the Financial Planners by attending client meetings, dealing with any administrative work for clients.
  • Support the Financial Planners in submission of cases to the paraplanning team.
  • Support the Planner’s workflow by efficient coordination of central services such as paraplanning, valuations, business processing, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver good client outcomes.

Experience Required

  • Previous experience as an IFA Administrator.
  • Knowledge of Financial Planning products.
  • Systems/Internal Processes:
    • MS Office/Outlook - Proficient in Word and Excel.
    • Experience of XPlan (Desired).
    • Experience of Cash-Flow system (Desired).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of financial planning products.
  • Strong numerical skills.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning and prioritisation skills.
