Job Title: IFA Administrator
Location: Derbyshire
Basic Salary: Up to £37,000
Hours: Mon - Fri, 37.5hrs
About Our Client and the Role
This is an established, Chartered and fully independent financial planning firm, providing tailored advice to private clients, families and businesses. The business has built its reputation around delivering genuinely client-focused, transparent and high-quality financial planning, with a strong emphasis on understanding each client’s individual circumstances, goals and aspirations.
They combine experienced financial planning expertise with modern technology and are focused on delivering a professional and highly personalised service throughout. The business continues to grow while maintaining the high standards of service and professionalism for which it is known.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IFA Administrator to join a well-established, highly successful wealth management firm and become the sixth member of its central support team. Working closely with two Financial Advisers, you will provide high-quality administrative support across a prestigious high-net-worth client base, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of the client service proposition. This is a genuine career administrator position, ideally suited to someone who enjoys the technical and organisational aspects of financial services administration and is looking to build a long-term career in administration rather than progress into an advisory role. You will join a collaborative and supportive team where your experience, attention to detail and contribution will be highly valued.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
