Job Description

Purpose of the Role

Focused on delivering individual projects, ensuring completion within scope, time, and budget with a more immediate focus.

Accountabilities

Scope Management

Manages a single project with specific, defined objectives, deadlines, and deliverables. Their focus is on completing the project on time, within scope, and on budget.

Strategic Focus

Operates more tactically, focusing on day-to-day management of resources, schedules, and deliverables for their individual project.

Time Horizon

Works with a shorter, more defined timeframe as projects have a set beginning and end.

Stakeholder Management

Primarily manages stakeholders related to their specific project, ensuring communication and expectations are clear for the project’s deliverables.

Risk and Issue Management

Focuses on risks and issues specific to their project and works to mitigate them within the project’s scope.

Resource Management

Manages resources for their individual project, ensuring that the project team has the necessary skills, tools, and time to complete the work.

Financial Management

Focuses on managing the budget of their specific project, ensuring it is completed within the financial constraints.

Metrics

Measures success based on the timely completion of project deliverables within scope, time, and budget.

Change Management

Manages changes that directly impact their specific project, including scope changes, timelines, or resource allocation adjustments.

Vice President Expectations

To contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change. Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/ processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.

If managing a team, they define jobs and responsibilities, planning for the department’s future needs and operations, counselling employees on performance and contributing to employee pay decisions/changes. They may also lead a number of specialists to influence the operations of a department, in alignment with strategic as well as tactical priorities, while balancing short and long term goals and ensuring that budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.

As an IFC Intelligence and Investigations Workflow and Case Management Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of key projects within the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) operating model as part of the Integrated Financial Crime (IFC) portfolio. You will work closely with business analysts and FIU stakeholders to define and deliver case management solutions, gathering and refining requirements using an agile approach to support both management and investigative processes.

Requirements

To be successful as a IFC Intelligence and Investigations Workflow and Case Management Project Manager, you should have experience with:

  • Extensive Project Management delivery (Financial Crime preferred).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in an international financial institution.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Experience working on a transformation / change project.
  • Experience of working on a large programme.
  • Financial Crime workflow and case management and/or FIU (Finance Intelligence.

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

This role is based in London/Glasgow.
