IFRS16 Manager
Permanent
Theale/Home – 3 days a week in the office
We’re looking for an experienced IFRS16 Manager to join a leading UK mobile and digital infrastructure business.
This is a key role within the Finance team, acting as the IFRS16 Subject Matter Expert and taking ownership of the end-to-end lease accounting process across a portfolio of 15,000+ sites.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own the end-to-end IFRS16 accounting process and policy
- Manage monthly lease accounting, reporting, and journals
- Maintain and improve Excel-based models, controls, and reconciliations
- Lead external audit queries and provide technical accounting support
- Assess lease modifications, impairments, and new site agreements
- Work closely with Finance, Commercial, Legal, and Property teams
- Manage relationships with outsourced providers and shareholder finance teams
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting, and processes
- Support the implementation of a new IFRS16 lease accounting system

What we’re looking for:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant
- 2+ years' post-qualified experience with strong IFRS16 exposure
- Proven experience owning IFRS16 reporting and accounting processes
- Experience managing external audit reviews
- Strong technical accounting and financial controls knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
- Experience working in a complex or large-scale organisation
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work independently
