What We Are Looking For

At OMNIA Training, we’ve brought together some of the UK’s most innovative defence training organisations into a single consortium to deliver one powerful mission: to transform the British Army’s training system and create the best-trained Army in the world.

OMNIA Training will redefine the British Army’s collective training, standing up as the Army’s Strategic Training Partner. To do that, we are looking for the best and brightest minds from across the UK. We are backed by British innovation and powered by world-class experts, like you.

OMNIA Training is primed by Raytheon UK, but all five partners (Raytheon, Rheinmetall, Capita, Skyral and Cervus) are key to delivering the scope of the contract. Supporting innovation, Rheinmetall Electronics UK (REUK) is entrusted with the trialling and acceptance of new products into the Army training system.

This is more than a job — it’s a mission. You will be part of a high-impact, collaborative environment, where we expect everyone to live the values and standards of the British Army. Every person in our team plays a critical role in delivering OMNIA Training’s vision; designing, delivering, and transforming collective training so the British Army is ready to fight and win.

The Role

This role is the ILS Lead Engineer, who is responsible for the OMNIA ILS activities on behalf of the Configuring Service.

Reporting

This position reports directly to the Configuring Service Lead.

Job Description

Lead the delivery of REUK’s Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) activities within the OMNIA ACTS programme, supporting Army Collective Training Service (ACTS) capabilities across Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) environments. The ILS Lead Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering REUK’s allocated ILS workshare, ensuring that ILS activities, documentation and supportability outputs are developed to the required quality, schedule and engineering standards. The role provides technical leadership to ILS Engineers, while remaining hands-on in the development, review and assurance of ILS artefacts where required.

Working closely with OMNIA consortium partners, OEMs, Engineering teams, Delivery Teams and Army stakeholders, the role ensures REUK’s ILS activities integrate effectively with the wider ACTS support solution. The role also coordinates and assures ILS activities delivered by REUK’s subcontractors, ensuring applicable ILS requirements are understood, deliverables are reviewed, and subcontractor outputs are effectively integrated into REUK’s overall ACTS ILS workshare.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
