Job Title: IMA Laboratory Technician
Location: Witney, Oxfordshire

About Us:
At Abbott Diabetes Care in Witney, we help people manage diabetes through innovative technologies, including our FreeStyle Libre systems and blood glucose testing products.
The Incoming Materials Analysis (IMA) team is growing and looking for enthusiastic individuals who are ready to start their career in a laboratory environment.
No degree needed—just a passion for science and a willingness to learn.
What You’ll Do:
- Support our Lab Teams: Learn how to use a variety of laboratory instruments to test incoming materials while working alongside experienced laboratory technicians.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure documentation is completed accurately and carefully. As part of Quality Control, our team plays a vital role in ensuring materials meet the required standards before entering the manufacturing process.
- Keep Things Tidy and Ready: Clean, maintain, and prepare laboratory equipment and materials while following Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
- Work with other teams: Take part in cross-functional projects and activities, working closely with different departments to support both new and existing materials.

What We’re Looking For:
- You’ve finished your GCSEs (or equivalent), especially in Maths and English.
- You’re interested in science and how things work.
- You’re organised, have good attention to detail, reliable, and keen to learn.
- Any experience in a lab or practical setting is a bonus—but not essential.
