You will use the latest signal processing, modelling and imaging technology and some of the most advanced high-performance computing facilities in the world to build high-resolution 3D seismic images & models of subsurface geology and rock properties for our clients.

What skills will you develop as a geophysicist?

Most people who start with Viridien come from outside the earth sciences; we will provide all necessary training in geology and geophysics.
What we look for
This role is aimed at recent graduates and final-year students with a Bachelors, integrated or postgraduate Masters or PhD in Physics, Geophysics, or Mathematics, or in Earth Sciences, Natural Sciences or Engineering with significant physics content.
We’ll consider what you’ve learned from your course and projects, any part-time work or internships, and extracurricular activities or volunteering. If you are selected then during the application process, you’ll have the opportunity to share:
- How you solve problems and identify the details that matter
- Your interest in learning and curiosity about how things work
- Your ability to communicate technical concepts
- Examples of leadership, teamwork or customer service.
Additional Information
- Application deadline: 31st January 2027. Note we conduct rolling interviews.
- Start date: March 2nd 2027 although we are open to starting people from January onwards.
- Location: We are located in Crawley, just south of London; well connected to the capital, the South Coast, and Gatwick Airport for international travel.
- Visa sponsorship: we welcome applications from outside the UK and international students studying in the UK; subject to eligibility we can provide visa sponsorship and relocation support.

- Starting salary from £38,000 and bonus scheme
