Interventional Medical Secretary - Part Time Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen at the Royal Derby Hospital within the Department of Imaging for a part-time (33 hours/week) Interventional Medical Secretary to join our secretarial team.
You will be part of an administration team of secretarial staff providing an efficient and professional medical secretarial service, within an established team of Clinicians.
Key Requirements
- Enthusiastic and motivated team player
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- High levels of tact, diplomacy with the ability to prioritize your own workload effectively
Key Skills
- Previous secretarial or administration experience
- Supporting a growing team of Interventional Consultant Radiologists within the Imaging Department
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- An understanding of the 18-week RTT process
- Knowledge and familiarization of medical terminology
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet, and email systems
- RSA II or equivalent qualification / equivalent experience
- NVQ level III Business and Administration or equivalent knowledge and skills
- Audio typing qualification or experience desirable
