As one of the world's largest networks of audit, tax and consulting firms, RSM delivers big ideas and premium service to help middle-market businesses thrive. We are a fast-growing firm with big ambitions - we have a clear goal to become the premium adviser to the middle market, globally. This vision touches everything we do, motivating and inspiring us to become better every day. If you are looking for a firm where you can build a future and make an impact, then RSM is the place for you.

IMC Digital Lead

Make an Impact at RSM UK

The business partner for RSM's firm-wide 'Be Digital' strategic pillar and the single front door into Integrated Marketing & Communications, and back out into the business, for the digital and technology agenda. This role owns the digital narrative across RSM UK, turning complex change in technology, AI and the digital experience into clear, compelling, human communication that lands with clients, colleagues and the market.

It is a business partnering role by design, working in lockstep with National Technology, Audit, Tax and Consulting, People and Digital to make the firm's digital and tech story coherent, consistent and well-told wherever it shows up. This is not a role that sits back and waits for briefs; it sets the direction for how we communicate the digital agenda, and drives it.

RSM is repositioning from being seen as a traditional professional services firm toward a credibly digital, AI-fluent challenger. That shift is only real if people can feel it and understand it — and right now our digital and technology story is told inconsistently, in too many voices, and often only at the strategic level. We need someone whose whole job is to own that narrative and make it travel: from the boardroom framing of the CTO's tech agenda down to the everyday comms that keep colleagues informed and confident through change.

The commercial stakes are practical. Change programmes stall when they aren't communicated well; propositions underperform when they aren't articulated sharply; and thought leadership that is published but not found — by people or by AI — is investment wasted at the last mile. This role is how we close that gap.

You’ll make an impact by

  • Set the direction. Own the narrative for RSM's digital and technology agenda across all audiences and channels, deciding how the story is told, not just producing to a brief.
  • Translate complexity. Turn technical and strategic material - digital strategy, AI adoption, workplace technology, the digital client experience - into clear, human, brand-led communication.
  • Hold the through-line. Ensure the same story is told consistently across Audit, Tax and Consulting, National Technology and People, so the firm sounds like one voice on digital and tech.
  • Act as the communications partner to the technology leadership, shaping and delivering the comms behind the digital strategy, the workplace-technology improvement plan and the wider tech agenda.
  • Work through the CTO and beyond into Audit, Tax and Consulting to coordinate digital and tech communications, bringing coherence and direction to activity that today has many owners, opinions and approaches, articulating also our Alliance positioning.
  • Work with National Technology to take requirements, turn them into briefs, and draw in the wider IMC function to shape and deliver.
  • Support People-led change. Where the firm's technology and workplace change is People-led, partner on the internal and change communications so colleagues are carried through it well.
  • Run the everyday comms. Own the day-to-day digital and technology communications — the visible, high-frequency, sometimes unglamorous updates that keep the firm informed. This is the bulk of what makes the role trusted, and it sits alongside the strategic narrative work, not instead of it.
  • Orchestrate delivery. Coordinate messages, channels and stakeholders end-to-end so that what goes out is timely, on-brand and joined-up.
  • Be the linchpin on live conversations. Act as connective tissue on cross-firm digital initiatives — including product naming and proposition articulation — where clear language is the thing that unlocks progress.
  • Champions network. Build and nurture an internal network of digital and tech champions to extend reach and land messages across the firm.
  • Discoverability. Write for how content is found today — strong GEO and discoverability practice so our digital story surfaces for people and AI alike.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we are looking for

Are you someone who thrives on variety, loves learning new things, and enjoys connecting with people? If you can spot inefficiencies in everyday life and are passionate about making improvements, this role is perfect for you!

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • An outstanding writer and storyteller who can make complex technology and change genuinely compelling and human.
  • A natural business partner — curious, personable, and able to move fluidly across teams, functions and seniority, building trust and relationships quickly.
  • Strong stakeholder management: comfortable partnering senior leaders (including the CDO, ATC leads and Head of People) while coordinating a busy, opinionated, cross-firm set of contributors.
  • Confident owning both the strategic narrative and the high-volume day-to-day comms, and switching between them without dropping either.
  • Genuinely fluent in technology and AI as subjects — able to interrogate, understand and translate them — and a confident user of AI tools in the writing and content process.
  • Self-directing: sets the direction for how the digital story is told and drives it, rather than waiting to be briefed.
  • Experience communicating digital transformation, technology or AI programmes in a complex, multi-stakeholder organisation.
  • Familiarity with GEO / LLM discoverability and how written content performs in AI-mediated search.
  • Experience in or alongside a creative, content or integrated communications function.
