Job Title: IMI MET Technician

Location: Canterbury

Salary: £22 - £24 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday

About the Role

Our client is a well-established automotive business with a busy workshop in Canterbury, and they are currently looking for an experienced IMI-qualified MET Technician to join their growing team.

This role will focus on the mechanical, electrical and trim aspects of vehicle repair, working alongside a wider bodyshop team to ensure vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified MET Technician looking for competitive hourly rates, long-term stability and the opportunity to develop their career within a professional workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs on a range of vehicles
  • Remove and refit mechanical and electrical components
  • Diagnose faults and identify additional repair requirements
  • Complete strip and refit work to manufacturer and industry standards
  • Work closely with body repair technicians and other workshop staff
  • Ensure all repairs are completed safely and to a high standard
  • Accurately complete job cards and repair documentation
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
  • Work efficiently to meet workshop productivity and quality targets

Requirements

  • IMI qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Proven experience as an MET Technician / MET Fitter / Vehicle Technician
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
  • Previous experience within a bodyshop or accident repair environment is highly desirable
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK Driving Licence
