Immediate Start Finance Manager | International Media Technology Business | London / Remote / Hybrid
The Client
A profitable, cloud-native media technology business that helps major broadcasters, sports rights holders and streaming platforms move their live video workflows into the public cloud. Their products power live streaming, video distribution and content capture for events at serious scale, with a customer base that includes some of the biggest names in global sport and entertainment media.
Operating across the UK and US with c.45 FTE, the business has grown organically to just over £10m in revenue and remains profitable. Finance has historically been lean, and this maternity cover sits at a moment of real momentum for the business, with a possible corporate transaction on the horizon in the next 12 months.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO (ex-Big 4), this is a broad, hands-on Finance Manager role covering maternity leave for 1 year. You will take full day-to-day ownership of the finance function across both UK and US entities, spanning financial control, reporting, compliance, cash flow, budgeting and payroll. The business is used to moving quickly, so you will need to balance month-end discipline with the pace and shifting priorities of a growing company, working autonomously from day one.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
