About The Role
This is a new role within our team. As our Immersive Resource & Department Manager in London, you'll be at the heart of our studio, making sure our brilliant teams have exactly what they need to create their best work. You'll look after our Realtime artists, developers, and production crew, balancing careful scheduling with genuine pastoral care. By teaming up with our VFX Schedulers and the wider UK Talent Team, you'll also help us seamlessly blend traditional CG and 2D VFX artists into our immersive projects.
What You’ll Do
- Look after the master schedule for the London Immersive department, making sure all our projects run smoothly together.
- Partner with VFX Schedulers to bring traditional CG and 2D artists onto immersive projects when we need their specific talents.
- Anticipate what our projects will need before they need it, planning for specialist Immersive artists who often require longer lead times.
- Act as a true champion for the Immersive crew. You'll keep morale high, maintain a calm space, and quickly resolve any bumps in the road.
- Be the friendly first point of contact for our artists when they want to chat about their career growth, training, or project allocations.
- Run performance reviews alongside our leadership team, offering supportive and constructive feedback.
- Welcome new crew members and guide them through our realtime pipelines so they feel ready and supported from day one.
- Collaborate with our HR team on pay negotiations and ensure everyone is treated fairly and consistently.
- Organise seating and coordinate specialised machine rentals so everyone has the right setup to do their best work.
- Chat daily with line producers about project progress, shifting priorities, and schedule updates.
- Support our bidding process in CETA, helping to coordinate the pitches and tests that win us new work.

Requirements
- Previous experience scheduling crew and projects within a fast-paced VFX or real-time production environment.
- A solid grasp of CG, traditional VFX pipelines, and Realtime/immersive workflows and technologies.
- Proven ability to build strong, trusted relationships with producers, artists, HR, recruitment, and cross-departmental leads.
- Strong pastoral care skills with a proven track record of building and managing culturally aligned teams where artists feel supported.
- Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills for handling resource constraints or contractual matters.
- Proficiency in, or a high capacity to quickly learn, database and scheduling software (such as CETA, Jira, or advanced Excel).
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure schedules, seating layouts, and reports are maintained to the highest standard.
- Responsiveness and flexibility to rapidly changing production needs under pressure.
