Immigration Associate | 12-Month FTC | London

A highly regarded international law firm is looking to hire an Immigration Associate on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave.

This is an excellent opportunity for a 1-5 PQE UK immigration lawyer to join a high-performing and expanding practice, working closely with recognised experts across both corporate and personal immigration.

City Experience is a must

The team advises a broad client base including multinational corporations, start-ups, high-net-worth individuals and their families, with particular expertise across sponsor licence work, Home Office audits and investigations, Skilled Worker and Global Business Mobility routes.

  • Corporate immigration matters, including sponsor licence applications, management and compliance
  • Skilled Worker and Global Business Mobility applications
  • HNW immigration, including Innovator Founder, Global Talent, settlement, citizenship and complex passport applications
  • Offshore energy clients and sponsorship/visa applications for crew working on UK projects
  • Direct client contact, including attending meetings and advising on UK immigration options
  • Independently managing client matters and applications
  • Supervising and reviewing paralegal work
  • Legal drafting, research and keeping up to date with developments in immigration law
  • Supporting business development through client updates, presentations and events

The team works collaboratively with other specialist practices, providing an opportunity to develop a broad understanding of the firm's wider client offering.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience within a well-regarded immigration practice
  • Strong UK immigration law knowledge across corporate and/or private client matters
  • Experience advising both corporate clients and HNW individuals
  • Strong drafting and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • A commercial, practical and client-focused approach
  • The ability to manage matters independently while working effectively within a team
