Immigration Compliance Advisor – Fixed Term
Kirkstall Forge, Leeds LS5 3BF
Hybrid – up to 3 days WFH
Fixed Term 12 months
Full time 37.5 hours per week
Salary from £28,400 depending on experience

The Role
This is a great opportunity to start your career in a HR and Immigration compliance role and with our friendly and supportive People Services team in our Leeds office. Being part of the UK Support functions, they are at the backbone of our UK operations.
You will be responsible for ensuring Bupa maintains full compliance with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Sponsor Licence requirements relating to sponsored workers, with a key focus on the salary and payroll compliance requirements recently introduced by the Home Office across the Care Services business.
How you’ll help us make health happen
- Develop and manage processes to ensure sponsored employees/associates are paid in accordance with UKVI salary thresholds throughout their sponsorship.
- Monitor salary/earnings/ for all sponsored employees on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Review rostering data on a weekly basis to ensure corrections are completed when discrepancies are identified.
- Ongoing education on the importance of UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Sponsor Licence requirements relating to sponsored workers.
- Develop reporting mechanisms to identify potential salary compliance risks before breaches occur.
- Monitor and Investigate payroll anomalies, underpayments, salary deductions, unpaid leave, changes in working patterns, or other factors that could affect sponsorship compliance.
- Liaise with Payroll, Healthroster and HR teams to implement corrective actions.
- Produce regular compliance dashboards evidencing we are meeting UKVI requirements.
- Maintain audit trails evidencing salary compliance throughout the sponsorship period.
- Recommend enhancements to systems, reporting, and compliance monitoring frameworks to support compliance with UK Visas and Immigration.
- Ensure all required notifications, updates, and reporting obligations to the Home Office are completed accurately and within prescribed timescales which may impact a reduction in earnings.

- Ensuring sponsored workers remain compliant with UKVI salary requirements.
- Maintaining accurate and auditable sponsorship records.
- Identifying and mitigating sponsorship compliance risks.
- Supporting the protection and retention of Bupa’s Sponsor Licences.
- Providing assurance that payroll practices satisfy Home Office salary compliance requirements.
